Impressive places to visit in Majorca

Choosing the best places to see in Majorca is not an easy task – the island offers a multitude of options for tourists: beaches, observation decks, charming beaches, rural tourism, and impressive nature are just some of the Spanish island’s must-sees.

Palma, the island’s capital

You can’t visit Majorca without strolling through the narrow streets of Palma’s old town, discovering the interior patios of the majestic old houses, and tasting traditional ensaimadas. As well as the old town with its impressive gothic cathedral, the island also has castles and royal palaces, ports, relaxing beaches, and marvellous patisseries.

Majorca’s beaches

Among Majorca’s many charms, the fantastic white sandy beaches with crystalline turquoise seas are one of the island’s key selling points. There are many options close to the Hotel Cosmopolitan, so guests can choose between the most beautiful popular beaches with a number of services, such as Playa de Palma, hidden coves with rocky cliffs towering over them, ideal snorkelling bays, and other activities which will make Summer 2022 the best yet.

Picturesque villages

Majorca is famous for its impressive beaches and coves, but our beautiful Mediterranean island also boasts picturesque villages. Their traditional architecture, beautiful surroundings and special charm make these villages an unmissable feature of the island.

If you’re passing through Alcúdia, you can learn about its history and culture by taking in its ancient city walls and historical buildings. Check out Valldemossa, an unmissable medieval village in the Serra de Tramuntana, or Fornalutx, a Majorcan village located in one of Spain’s most beautiful settings. Strolling through the cobbled streets and savouring the best Majorcan gastronomy will make a visit to any of these villages a really special part of your trip to Majorca.

Caves of Drach

Visitors flock to Majorca from all over the world to visit what many people believe to be one of the most beautiful natural marvels of the world. The Caves of Drach, four caves located close to Porto Cristo, are one of the island’s most popular tourist spots. These four interconnected caves, formed by the erosion of rainwater over millions of years, are home to one of the world’s largest underground lakes, called Lake Martel. Daily classical music concerts are performed from a boat out on the lake.

Tourists can also enjoy a guided tour of the inside of the caves, lasting approximately one hour and culminating in a boat trip on the lake

Book an unforgettable stay at Hotel Cosmopolitan and enjoy all this and much more this summer.
